Trek Itinerary
The Inca Trail is one of the ten best treking routes in the world.
I am taking part in a 10 day trip to embark on this trail which is still kind of unbelievable!! The trek is at altitude which makes it even tougher, the highest point is 4200m
DAY 1 Today I will fly from London to Lima DAY 2 I will fly from Lima to Cusco and spend the day acclimatising to the altitude DAY 3 Day in Cusco acclimatizing DAY 4 Spending the day having a warm up hike over part of the Inca Trail DAY 5 The trek officially begins!!! Start treking the Inca Trail (4-5 hours walking) DAY 6 Today the group will climb Dead Womans Pass (not sure I like the sound of that!!) 4200m, this is the highest point of the trek (7-8 hours walking) DAY 7 We will climb Runkuracay Pass at 4000m (8-10 hours walking) DAY 8 Early morning start (4am!!!!) in order to reach the destination of the trip Machu Picchu in time for sunrise (3 hours walking) DAY 9Fly home, Cusco-Lima-London DAY 10 Arrive home (exhausted!!!!!)
